A plethora of emotions…

Emotions can be weird
At a moment they make you feel good
Next, they will make you feel all alone in the woods
You may try to catch them up in your way
Push hard to control and escape them away
But all your efforts can be in vain
Leaving you in ultimate pain.

She might hurt you hard
And you broke her heart
A plethora of emotions run into your soul
Mixing your thoughts in a feelings bowl.

You want to punish and you want to forgive
You want to talk and you want to ignore 
You want to take an action and you want it to end
You want to solve but the things don’t go well.

Plenty of thoughts, all making you fool
A state of mind that is not letting you cool
But at the end,
You cried and she too
You love her and she loves you too.

You drive her crazy
Just like she makes you smile
This thought may heal your heart
And like this, a new plethora of emotions start.

In a country like India, which has always criticized homosexuality for different reasons, a landmark judgment was passed by the Supreme Court on September 06, 2018. Now the law has given the right of consensual sex between any two adults; thereby decriminalizing the sex between homosexuals. This is surely a great moment for the country and for all of its citizens, but is it enough? The Inherent Patriarchy of Hindu festivals

Hindu festivals have some inspiring stories behind their origin but have also been an  institution to uphold the roots of patriarchy. Every good holds some bad in it, so before cherishing and normalising customs blindly, think slightly. Almost every festival oppresses women in one form or another. Why? Perhaps either because of our misinterpretation or our inability to resist or at least understand the patriarchal sense inherent in the festivals.
